Aligning partner capabilities to current and future industry requirements also ranked high on the Forum’s agenda. Customers are requiring future-proof solutions and NetApp has the answer. Under the theme “Building Data Fabric Together”, NetApp provided a long-term vision of how its entire portfolio would enable a fabric-driven storage world. NetApp’s premise is customers need a more unified view of enterprise data so that they can store, access, protect, share and archive data in consistent and predictable ways across multiple internal and external data centers.
Thomas Ehrlich: “Technologies like cloud, infrastructure convergence, or the Data Fabric ultimately provide fantastic opportunities to build a more flexible and more powerful data environment. Seamlessly connecting public, private, and hybrid clouds with the opportunity to constantly move workloads is no longer fiction, but a reality.”
In the opening keynote Reitner underlined the pivotal role partners play in bringing any of these technologies to market. They are indispensable when it comes to designing and building complex solutions for large enterprises or scaling the business in the midsize sector.
